Because it is stronger than laughing gas, oral conscious sedation is recommended for patients with more severe dental anxiety. After your consultation, Dr. Game can prescribe a pill to be taken an hour prior to your appointment, so that its effects will initiate by the time you arrive in the dentist's chair!
Oral conscious sedation will keep you calm and conscious for your treatment, allowing you to communicate with Dr. Game. The calming sedation effects take 2-3 hours to subside, so patients opting for this method of sedation will need to arrange transportation home after treatment.
