Dr. Will Black is a Charleston native, raised in West Ashley. He earned his undergraduate degree in Forestry and Geology from the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee. Following graduation, Dr. Black worked as a patient care technician at the MUSC Children’s Hospital, where he met his wife, Julia, who was then a nursing student.
After several years working at the hospital, Dr. Black went back to school and earned a Masters degree in Medical Sciences before ultimately earning his dental degree from the Medical University of South Carolina, where he graduated with honors in Clinical Dentistry and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He then continued his training at Louisiana State University in New Orleans, completing an internship with the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Outside of the office, Dr. Black enjoys woodworking, spending time outdoors, playing banjo and drums, listening to music, and cherishing moments with his wife, Julia, and their three sons—Walker, George, and Baxter.
